Any "interposing" of a device between the original audio source and the output device may affect the sound of the original. Likewise, the voltage for microphones is lower, so that the audio signal is much weaker than other sound sources. A more powerful sound from a microphone

If a sound is picked up via microphones, you have the advantage that the sound can be controlled perfectly via the mixer or equaliser as well as DI boxes. But a disadvantage of microphone technology is that these devices cannot balance the, usually, weaker signal voltage. So it may be that you have to turn the knobs for the microphones much higher. But you're also possibly amplifying other noises. A microphone preamp solves this shortcoming in a simple manner, by increasing the audio signal and the voltage, respectively. The result is a more harmonious overall sound, as all audio signals can input with the same signal voltage.

Possible applications for micro preamplifiers

You can use micro preamps in live performances as well as in studio recordings. Both radio signals and wired audio signals can be transmitted. To optimise sound quality, you can also combine the preamplifier with a DI box. You'll get an almost interference-free audio signal that goes into your power amplifier or your PA amplifier.
