Features

The digital jack of all trades with analogue charm

The best of both worlds

A good mixer has to be able to do more than just merge signals and emit them. Whether you are in the rehearsal room or on a small stage in a club, the mixer is your sound control centre. It plays a significant part in whether your music will be 'nice and tight' in the end or just undefined sound mush coming out of the speakers. Therefore, it is not only important to have a variety of options to adjust and mix the sound according to your ideas, these options also have to be easy and intuitive to use. That way, you keep everything under control, even in intense situations on stage.

Our digital mixer DELTA-160 provides everything you need: various connecting facilities, conclusive and user-friendly operation and many comfort functions to make your everyday mixing more comfortable.

Why choose a digital mixer?

An overview of the advantages

Often, things are a matter of conviction, e.g. whether you prefer the Beatles to the Stones, coffee to tea, digital to analogue. Particularly in the field of audio technology there are many myths and legends and even prejudices when you have to decide whether you rely on digital or analogue technology, i.e. standard faders or zeroes and ones. There is no difference when dealing with mixers. However, in this case it is not a question of right or wrong but of the intended use. Digital mixers have advantages which analogue mixers, due to their design, cannot provide. In fact, there are quite a few of them:

  • With a digital mixer you can pre-program settings, store them and retrieve them, if required. Thus, operation is very easy, especially in live scenarios. Even if you have to fine-tune depending on the stage setup, you can save some basic parameters which you use regularly.
  • Digital mixers often can record more and different external audio devices than analogue mixers.
  • Digital mixers have flat-out more versatile effects and additional functions, the so-called 'signal processing functions'.
  • With purely digital signal transmission there is no noise at long transmission distances.
  • Digital mixers provide more features in a small space and allow for a flexible operation. This can be a real blessing for advanced users, who want to and have to delve deeper into the subject. However, even digital newbies will find it easy to get started with the new DELTA-160.
